Introduction

Abonglab ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to being transparent about how we handle your data. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

This Policy applies to all Abonglab products and services, including Sajuma (web application) and Stockwitch (iOS mobile application), as well as any future products we release.

By using any Abonglab service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register for an account:

• Email address — required for account creation and login
• Username or display name — used within the app
• Password — hashed and stored securely; we never store plain-text passwords
• Date of birth, birth time, and birth location — collected by Sajuma for saju (destiny) calculations
• Profile information — any additional details you choose to provide

User-Generated Content and Activity Data

In the course of using our services, we collect the content you create and interactions you have:

• Saju readings and inputs (Sajuma) — birth date/time data, names, and other parameters you submit for fortune readings and compatibility analyses
• Conversation and chat history (Sajuma) — messages you send to Sajuma's AI chat assistant, along with the AI's responses
• Reading results and history — the outputs from saju, compatibility, daily fortune, and daeun analyses
• Community posts and comments — content you submit in community or discussion features
• Stock activity (Stockwitch) — stocks you view, favorite, follow, and discuss

Automatically Collected Information

• Usage data — features used, screens visited, time and frequency of interactions
• Device information — device type, OS version, browser type, app version, unique device identifiers
• Technical logs — IP address, referring URLs, timestamps
• Analytics data — anonymized behavioral analytics to understand how our services are used
• Crash and error reports — to identify and fix technical issues
• Push notification tokens (Stockwitch) — to deliver notifications you have opted into

Third-Party Sign-In

If you sign in via Google or another third-party provider, we receive your email address and basic profile information (name, profile photo). We do not access your third-party account beyond what is required for authentication.

How We Use Your Information

Service Delivery

• Create and manage your account
• Deliver personalized saju readings, compatibility results, and AI responses (Sajuma)
• Provide stock insights, signals, and personalized tracking (Stockwitch)
• Maintain conversation continuity and reading history
• Enable community and social features

AI Model Improvement and Research

We may use user-generated content, including chat messages and saju reading inputs, to improve the quality, accuracy, and performance of our AI models and services. Before doing so:

• Data used for model training is de-identified and aggregated to the extent practicable
• We do not use identifiable data to train models without your consent
• You may opt out of your data being used for model improvement by contacting privacy@abonglab.com

Service Improvement

• Analyze usage patterns to improve features and user experience
• Identify and fix bugs and technical issues
• Conduct internal research and product development

Communications

• Respond to your support and privacy requests
• Send important service announcements (e.g., policy changes, outages)
• Send notifications based on your in-app preferences

Safety and Security

• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
• Enforce our Terms of Service
• Comply with legal obligations

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Service Providers

We share data with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate our services:

• Cloud infrastructure and database — Supabase (database, authentication, storage)
• Analytics — anonymized product analytics platforms
• Error tracking — crash reporting services (e.g., Sentry)
• AI processing — third-party AI providers used to generate responses and insights
• Payment processing (Sajuma) — Stripe for subscription billing; we do not store full card numbers
• In-app purchases (Stockwitch) — RevenueCat for purchase validation and subscription management; all payment transactions are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy
• Push notifications (Stockwitch) — Apple Push Notification Service

All service providers are contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us and to protect it appropriately.

Community Features

Content you post publicly (community posts, comments) may be visible to other users. Your username is associated with public content.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Abonglab, our users, or others.

Business Transfers

If Abonglab undergoes a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all its assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you via email or in-app notice before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specific retention periods:

• Account data — retained until you delete your account
• Chat history and saju reading data — retained while your account is active; you may request deletion at any time
• Usage logs and analytics — typically retained for up to 24 months
• Crash logs — typically retained for up to 90 days

After account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days. Some data may be retained longer if required by applicable law.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you have the following rights. To exercise any of them, contact privacy@abonglab.com:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Correction — update or correct inaccurate information
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data
• Restriction — request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances
• Opt-out of AI training — request that your data not be used for AI model training or improvement
• Opt-out of analytics — disable analytics tracking via in-app settings
• Notification opt-out — disable push notifications in your device settings at any time

Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for users under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be stored and processed on servers located in the United States or other countries. By using our services, you consent to such transfers. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is protected in accordance with this Policy regardless of where it is processed.

Security

We implement industry-standard measures to protect your information:

• Encryption in transit — all data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS
• Encryption at rest — sensitive data is encrypted in storage
• Password security — passwords are hashed using bcrypt or equivalent
• Access controls — strict internal access limits on user data
• Security monitoring — continuous monitoring for threats and anomalies

No security system is perfect. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt-out of sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. European Economic Area (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, our legal bases for processing your data include: performance of a contract (providing the services you requested), legitimate interests (improving our services, security), your consent (for optional features like marketing), and legal obligations. App-Specific Disclosures

Sajuma

Sajuma is a Korean AI astrology web application. Beyond standard account data, Sajuma collects:

• Birth information — date, time, and optionally location of birth, used solely to compute saju readings
• Relationship data — a second person's birth information when you use the compatibility (궁합) feature
• AI conversation logs — your chat exchanges with Sajuma's AI assistant, stored to provide session continuity and used in aggregate (de-identified) to improve our AI models
• In-app currency activity — 배추 (gem) balance, purchases, and feature usage tied to your account

Stockwitch

Stockwitch is an iOS stock market intelligence application. Beyond standard account data, Stockwitch collects:

• Stock activity — stocks you view, favorite, and follow, used to personalize your signal feed
• Taro reading history — your questions and the AI-generated readings tied to your account, stored to display your reading history within the app
• Marble currency activity — your marble (🔮) balance, purchase history, and how marbles are spent on features; marbles are a consumable in-app currency used exclusively within Stockwitch
• Subscription status — whether you hold an active Pro subscription, managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat; we do not store your payment card details
• News interaction data — articles you've read or swiped past, used to avoid showing you the same content twice
• Sign in with Apple — if you use Sign in with Apple, we receive only the information Apple provides: a unique identifier and, on first sign-in only, your name and either your real email or an Apple-generated relay address. We do not receive your Apple ID password.

Financial Disclaimer: Stockwitch is for informational and entertainment purposes only. Nothing in the app constitutes financial, investment, or trading advice. Taro readings are creative and entertainment features and should not be interpreted as investment guidance. We do not collect information about your actual brokerage accounts or trading activity.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
