Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Digsy handles and how it is used. Digsy is built by Abonglab. In short: by default Digsy keeps everything you enter on your own device and requires no account. The one exception is the optional Hunt Together feature, which lets you share a hunt with a partner and requires signing in. By using Digsy you agree to the practices described here.

Information you keep on your device

By default, Digsy has no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking, and the information you create stays on your device. Specifically:

• Your tours. The buildings, units, rents, notes, checklist answers, photos, and walkthrough videos you add are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database. By default they are never sent to Abonglab.
• iCloud (optional). If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, your tours are kept in step across your own Apple devices through your private iCloud account. This data is stored in your iCloud, governed by Apple's privacy policy, and Abonglab cannot read it.
• Location. If you allow it, Digsy uses your location only while the app is in use, on your device, to suggest the building you are standing in front of and to estimate commute times. Your location is never sent to Abonglab.
• Camera, microphone, and photos. If you use them, Digsy records walkthrough videos, scans a partner's invite code, or imports existing media, on your device. This media stays on your device unless you choose to share it in a shared hunt (see below).
• Purchases. If you subscribe to Digsy Pro, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Abonglab never sees or stores your payment information.

Hunt Together (optional sharing)

Hunt Together is an optional feature that lets you share one hunt with a partner or roommate so you can both see and edit the same list. It is off until you choose to use it, and it collects data only while you do:

• Sign in with Apple. To share, you sign in with Apple. We receive the name you choose to share and a unique user identifier, and your email address (including a private Apple relay address if you choose to hide your email). We never receive your Apple password.
• Shared hunt content. When you share a hunt, the buildings and units in it — including their name, address, apartment location, notes, checklist answers, listing links, and rent details, together with the cover photos, gallery photos, and walkthrough videos you add to them — are stored on our secure backend (Supabase, hosted on AWS) so everyone in that hunt can see and edit them. Your personal, non-shared hunts are never uploaded and stay only on your device.

Access to a shared hunt is limited to its members. This information is used only to provide the sharing feature. It is never used for advertising or tracking, and it is never sold.

Maps

Digsy uses Apple Maps to search for addresses, place pins, and estimate travel times. These requests are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy. When you choose to import details from a listing link, Digsy fetches that public web page directly, and no personal information is sent in the request.

How we use information

Information on your device is used only to run the app's features for you: tracking your tours, doing the rent math, showing your buildings on a map, and syncing across your own devices if you enable iCloud. Information from Hunt Together is used only to sync a hunt between you and the people you invite. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell your information to anyone.

Data retention and deletion

Your on-device data stays on your device for as long as you keep the app; deleting the app removes everything stored locally. If you enabled iCloud sync, you can remove that data from your device's iCloud settings at any time. If you used Hunt Together, you can delete your account and any shared hunts you own — including the shared content and media stored on our backend — at any time in the app, under Settings → Hunt Together → Delete Account; you can also leave a shared hunt from the same screen. Deleting your account leaves the list on your own device untouched.

Your choices

You can turn off location access at any time in your device settings, and you can turn iCloud sync on or off whenever you like. Hunt Together is entirely optional — if you never sign in, Digsy never creates an account or sends your hunts anywhere. Deleting the app is a complete and immediate way to remove your local data.

Children's privacy

Digsy is not directed at children under thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
